Fidgetie Fingers

What if healing didn’t start with words?

What if it began with colour, story, rhythm, or quiet making?

Sooo….. Why arts therapy?!

Because talking about your feelings all the time is… exhausting.
And because some feelings refuse to sit nicely in sentences.

Arts therapy lets your hands do the talking. By doodling, scribbling, moving, and telling stories, we make sense of the messy stuff without overthinking it.
This is a space for curiosity, play, and creative exploration.

Inspired by Te Whare Tapa Whā, we look after the whole human mind, body, spirit, and connection because wellbeing isn’t a one-room house.

Hi, I’m Ruchita!

I’m a Kiwi Indian Creative Arts Therapist who helps people express the messy, colourful, complicated bits of life.

I moved from India to New Zealand 13 years ago, carrying curiosity and a love for stories and colours. That journey taught me how to find my voice when the world doesn’t always “fit”—and inspired my passion for supporting neurodivergent minds, immigrants, and people with disabilities to feel seen, valued, and at home.

I’m a Registered Clinical Creative Arts Therapist (ANZACATA) with a Master’s in Clinical Arts Therapy from Whitecliffe College, combining art and mental health to help people doodle, move, tell stories, and explore feelings in ways words can’t reach.

Being an immigrant with dyslexia fuels my commitment to advocating for people with disabilities and immigrants, helping them feel accepted, valued, and empowered as people calling Aotearoa home.
